On Tuesday, October 27th, Mercury moves into Libra while in retrograde, and with this ingress, it moves into firing range of the omnipresent Cap stack. For those needing a refresher to what this means – Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter have been holding a very intense, influential, and equally catastrophic and metamorphic meeting in the serious and mature sign of Capricorn. ALL year. You can thank them for the collective chaotic-transformational-shit-show-paradigm-shift we are in. Please laugh. Humor will get us through!

Humor will also really help as the planet governing communication will move into the sign of partnership, balance, and justice while squaring Saturn – a planet doling out its last months of authority, responsibility, and work ethic in Capricorn. While here, Saturn has been ruling the roost in its home sign that oversees government, status, infrastructure, procedures, ladder climbing, and recognition. It's the ultimate 3D sign, deeply earthy and reliable, and loves security.

So what does that actually mean for you?It means that before you get into a well-intended discussion with your partner about whose responsibility it is to do… fill in the blank… take a beat. The likely hood of miscommunication is high—the payoff…relatively low in most cases. Being able to laugh at some of the jumbles and fumbles will keep you from making more of it.

From now until November 3rd, when Mercury stations direct at 25°Libra, there really probably aren’t many serious topics that should be engaged with, if not absolutely necessary. This time is for review. Reflection. Was there something that came up at the end of September that needs to be revisited? That was the last time Mercury was in this territory. So exactly one month ago. If that is the case, then yes, it may be worth giving some serious thought and discussing.

This could look like issues of balance between responsibilities within the relationship conflicting with demands in career, not having enough time, or too many people on the home wifi. It may feel like pressure to achieve but finding some blocks in articulating what you need to feel aligned and not stressed out. This could be the topic of one person in the partnership feeling like they do more or are managing more things, causing some friction. If these scenarios sound familiar, it’s okay. You are far from alone. These issues may feel more emotional since they will coincide with the Taurus Full Moon on the 31st and with the Sun in Scorpio. These compounding factors lead us to our emotional body more than when Mercury was here in Virgo Season.
So taking all of this in mind along with the usual technical hiccups of Mercury – the greatest advice I can give is to create a small amount of space that is yours in stillness. Five to ten minutes to drop in, breathe deeper, come into the present moment so that the swirling of your mind and the rush of your emotions can land before they are shared.

In this sacred break from the to-do list, the news, the household needs, is where clarity can be found. Maybe it deliverers you a memory, a mantra, or perhaps it’s just enough quiet time to remember the intentions you hold for yourself. From now through November 1st, the veil between our earthly dimension and the spirit realm is thin. The thinnest it is all year, so you can also call upon your guides, ancestors, and angels for insight and solace. This, combined with a Mercury Retrograde, could bring illuminating revelations to you.

On November 3rd, Mercury stations direct, and then its final retrograde of 2020 is over. It will be back to full speed and out of its shadow on November 19th, at which time Mars will have also stationed direct, leaving only Uranus on a backspin. Meaning that most projects and efforts will gain traction and momentum, communication will be more precise, and we will be in the home stretch of the Cap Stack influence. This will feel like closing chapters, moving to the next level with whatever you have been working on, and gaining mastery or a deeper understanding of the year's impact and lessons.
